Brenton Cox has more potential than Van Ness as an Edge Rusher. He has shown his skill in flashes when he has been given the chances. Coming off a strong 2024, Cox lost his whole 2025 season to injury. Who knows, maybe if he had continued his good play in 2025, GB might not have been able to afford him, just look at what Enagbare got. I still think Van Ness has a better future inside as a 6'5 300lb IDL player with 4.6 speed.
There has been some talk of trading for Josh Sweat, I don't see it. Don't we want to see what we have on the team now? At best I would try to draft an Edge rusher. We have vets who need a chance to play.
Don't sell the Skyy Moore signing short. Yes he is a really good KR, but he was a Top 10 WR coming out of college in 2022. Because of some kick return muffs, Moore lost confidence in himself, and the Chiefs also lost confidence and gave up on Moore too early. He is an ideal slot receiver @ 5'10 200lbs and high 4.3s speed. He also had some of the best hands in that draft. He didn't just forget how to catch the ball, he caught 94 passes his senior year alone. This could be the steal of the year for GB.

I don't see it either. The Packers lack that premium draft capital that might be needed to pry him away if the bidding gets heated.

I liked him, too, but I think he's another example of a productive college WR (he was a product of the PJ Fleck school of WRs) who doesn't have it on the pro level. He's going to have to earn his spot through STs and build his way from the bottom up in a WR rotation.

Yeah Dobber, but he has that magic word "Potential" tied to his name. You don't have to go to Notre Dame or another blue blood school to be a great player in the NFL. Moore is perfect to be a slot receiver in the NFL. He still has great hands and is fast and elusive, which makes him a really good kick returner. We could have lightning in a bottle here for a really cheap price. KC gave up on him too soon which is a bonus for GB. The Chiefs have really struggled at WR since trading Tyreek Hill, which is surprising because they have the best QB on the planet.
A fan thread on Acme Packing Co suggested trading J Reed for Josh Sweat and a day 3 pick because GB probably won't pay Reed big dollars on his next contract, which comes up in 2027. It's really not a bad idea to acquire him that way, and it gets Golden on the field immediately. Moore could easily work his way into the mix at slot receiver and become that much more valuable to the Packers. It would be slight payback for us losing Creed Humphrey to KC if we could make their castoff 2nd round pick Skyy Moore into a viable WR weapon.
