I bet no one does.

For newcomers, Gut Reactions was a written piece with bullet-point, bottom line statements of thoughts the writer had during the game as they happened. The result was a great list of things we all thought during the game. It was a great concept that everyone loved. It was really original and a great read after every game. It put CHTV on the map.

Now it’s just another podcaster blathering on. All originality lost in the name of keeping up with….no one.

I mean, do whatever you want Aaron (you will anyway). Just don’t call it “Gut Reactions,” because it’s not. Not any more.

Call it what it is: “ Yet Another Podcaster Babbling”. Like there aren’t enough of those.

This is a super undisciplined team. Tons of dumb penalties. They got out coached big time. After two wins, how does Matt Lafleur not tell his team, “if any of you talk of going undefeated, you won’t see the field” (Talking to you Rasheed Walker) Get over yourselves! Good for the Browns, they played like the much better team. Schwartz is a badass. Love was rattled. Hope no one sprains their shoulder patting themselves on the back next time they win.

Lefleaur worst coaching job yet. Love was awful today. Bad special teams. Defense gassed. Funny how the browns were not gassed. O line sucks. They should just put a landing pad back for Jordon Love as he was sacked pressured so much he needed a soft place to land.

I couldn't agree with you more. LaFleur does not represent disciplined football, and disciplined football wins game, wins championships. I have little respect for the lack of intensityand discipline shown by this team, especially Jordan Love.

he's been like that since he came here. always taking the blame for everything saying he should have done better. he's not really protecting the players, he's giving them a get out of jail card free of charge. why would any of them care about getting a penalty called on them.

I couldn't agree more. Been saying it MLFs entire tenure. Same bs afterwards from the man called" flower". We have to clean this up. We have to coach better. This is on me . Blah blah blah de effing blah. Im over it. He continues to march out undisciplined teams. Oh, and btw: how the hell did love not see 3 brown shirts? I love ( pun intended) his comment. Im thinking " bro, even if there were no Browns in the vicinity your pass would have been 3 yards short of WIcks. Imo, it's why Gute gave him the contract he did.. Jordan's just good enough to keep you wondering but not enough to go all in on a 10 year 400 milly contract. His head scratching mistakes show up at least once a game..

Talking Big, Walking Small.

Three walking dead teams, with the last one being led by a concrete statue at QB. I really don't know what it is about this team that had everyone thinking they're more than they were last year, and why I asked another to explain who 'we' is that believed such after last week's win vs Washington. I know Clev has a very good Defense, but still, GB is not a dominant Offense that will be able to overcome those who have a good Defense and an even better Offense. They'll get their wins, but it doesn't look at this moment that they'll be winning anything, unless the Division Title is the bar/goal.

The season in long, but claiming SB quality football has been witnessed is a claim that sounds as hollow as a closed gold mine. Keep it real, and maybe the vein to the gold is actually found.

what's really scary is that lafluer said after the game that the int was "on him" because he never should have called that play with the defense they were in. if that is true...what does that say about the intelligence of love? he's not smart enough to see and/or change the call? this is starting to make sense now that love can only do what lafluer tells him to do, no thinking involved, which is probably why he always has that same look on his face no matter if he has a good play or a terrible play. no emotion in a game of football is hard to understand in my mind.

Kindof an openly dehumanizing viewpoint. Trying to push the notion that LaFleur's mistakes 'says something' about Love's capacity, or vice versa is not quite as diseased, but hey: you just keep on finding Head Coaches that take responsibility ( a rarity & a great thing) 'really scary', b/c you'll be the only scared fan in Green Bay.

BTW, Love played GREAT : 31 of 43 72% 337yards 3TDs 0 INTs 126.13 QB rating
What's not to Love???

Gut instinct has prevented me from fully buying into this team for years with Gute, MLF, and Love leading this team. Today? Just another fine choke job by a WI professional sports team...a looping Halloween horror show.

Early season, but Policy's screws tighten on Gute, MLF, Love. I have more respect for Policy in a few short months for not giving extensions to the oofa loofahs than I did for Murphy's entire reign. Bottom line is this:

1) We have good, not great GM.
2) We have a good, not great, (but very soft) coach.
3) We have an inconsistent QB that looks all-pro one pass, and XFL the next.

Can we win a Super Bowl with this cast? Sure, but not with confidence.

Preach Dragon Preach.

LaFleur cannot seem to hire a ST Coordinator to save his life. The fact that he made Bisaccia the highest-paid in the NFL is such a bad decision that it almost makes one forget that LaFleur hired Joe Barry to be his Defensive Coordinator.

This is year 7, Gute traded the future for Parson, and Matt has won exactly 1 playoff game over the past 4 seasons.

I hope the He** Policy holds LaFleur's feet to the fire.

i just do not think this team can ever really go anywhere with Love at qb, but just the completelack of discipline on almost a dozen pre-snap penalties. and do we have another Gutey first round bust in No. 77? Without Tom and Banks the o-line was incapable of dealing with Cleveland's very good D.

LETS SEE OUT COACHED ON OFFENSE

PLAY SCARED ON OFFENSE

NO RTYHUM ON OFFENSE

NEEDED TO MOVE THE POCKET A BIT.

SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT IN EXTRA LINEMEN ON SOME RUN PLAYS

WHAT CAN I SAY SPECIAL TEAMS ARE SPECIAL

CAN WE NOT GET A PENALTY ON A KICKOFF FOR ONCE

IF YOU SEE THE PERSON NAME DONT HIT THEM

NO REASON FOR BLOCKED KICK

WE HAD A TIME OUT IF YOU DIDNT LIKE IT CALL THE TIME OUT

KRAFT GOT BURNT ON IT ALSO

MILES GARRET DIDNT PLAY THE SECOND HALF. BEGGING US TO WIN THE GAME….

BANKS HURT AGAIN

FIND A CENTER MOVE JENKINS BACK TO GUARD.

BACK IN THE day Ahman Green Day’s brought in extra linemen a lot. He ran for 1800 yards or something those years off tackle

To have that major collapse is a wake up call

DONT TRY TO ICE THE KICKER IT DOESNT WORK MUCH ANY MORE

TRY EXTRA LINE MEN AN TWO BACKS ON 3rd and short

BROWNS PUNTER X PACKER PUNTER WHO GOT PUNT BLOCKED VS 49ers gameIN PLAYOFFS

WE GOT RID OF HIM BEACUSE OF THAT AND AVERAGE WASNT GOOD

THEN GOLDEN WAS TO FAR DEEP FOR HIS PUNT AND ROLLS TO THE 3rd yard line

That’s a special team play. ………That screwed us. Then PICK shortly after.

X nice pick. Knock it down. It’s 4th down. Got to know that situation….coaching. Unless you can get a pick 6th knock that down.

But DEFENSE PLAYED GREAT ALL GAME. TIRED AT THE END……

WE FALL INTO HOW GREAT ANOTHER TEAM IS AND HEAR THAT FROM MATT. YAH. DONT SHOW DISRESPECT…BUT DONT SEND THAT MESSAFE TO THE PLAYERS.

TALE YOUR OFFENSIVE AND STICK IT TO THEM…..WICK OPEN TODAY. GOLDEN NEEDS TO STEP UP.

BUT I DIDNT REALIZE HOW BAD…………… WE MISS REED AND C WATSON

O LINE FOR ALL THE INJURES AND MOVING AROUND. SETTLED IN

IT WAS LOVE PICK THAT DID IT

BROWNS FANS LEFT THE UPPERBDECKS

GREAT JOB DEFENSE…

Is it possible to be more disgusted? The only way the Browns could have possibly won is by the Packers playing to the level of the competition and giving them a chance by committing stupid miscues.

A whole cadre of goats here:

The offensive line was terrible, but especially Morgan.

Love: Not only did he throw a horrible INT, but he was off on those throws to the flat also and couldn't convert when he needed to late.

MLF and his Marty Ball. Okay, so Reed is out, but nobody else is capable of at least stretching that defense? Should have had a better plan with a couple of days extra to plan, but this has happened before.

McManus with his low kick, which was rather easily blocked.

Packers: More penalties than points scored. That defensive one on Nixon, though, was totally lame.

This was a terrible game to watch anyway, but the meltdown and outcome at the end lands this one in the Packers' Hall of Shame.

That game was a punch in the gut. We played a team that had the "experts" giving them the lowest chance to come out with a victory of any team playing today. The Browns would not roll over and if they had been playing any team in the NFL other than my lifelong favorite team I would have been overjoyed for their victory. I hope the Packers were not just looking past the Browns and this game can be considered falling under that old NFL adage "On any Sunday..."

Oh, really, Ferrari Driver, " I hope the Packers were not just looking past the Browns"!
Actually, I kinda' hope that is what it was, they couldn't have fucked it up any worse by trying! There's not enough other excuses for playing such "Shit football!
Piss Poor game plan!
Piss Poor coaching, the talent is there!~
Piss poor attitude by the coaching staff! No "Go for the Throat",or "Put them away" instincts. Get a 7-10 point lead and its Mike McPuffy's school of dance, "Run, two, three kick, Run, two, three, kick", Or run for 2 yards on 1st and 2nd and then throw a 30 yard in-completion on 3rd and 5 or 6!
Piss poor offensive play calling ( I called every run/pass play correct except for one in the second half, and if I guessed correctly the Browns probably did too, MLF is too predictable!
Piss Poor O-line play with Piss poor back-ups.
Piss Poor discipline and no accountability for same with stupid penalties.
The Top rung of the ladder is still empty, and the Packers won't be there any time soon!

Well I bought the cool-aid…I watched our first two games and believed we were the best.
We had additional days to prepare.
We wasted an excellent defensive effort—essentially giving up 10 points…and losing.
I sometimes wonder where Love’s brain drifts when critical thinking is required—MLF too?
The oline was an embarrassment —Morgan with 3 penalties…and more additional stupid mistakes by others.
At the moment, my outlook is this loss is an anomaly—hope so.

Not sure why some Packer fans were blaming Tucker for the blocked field. It wasn't Denzel Ward who blocked it, it was Shelby Harris.
Granted, it wasn't a great block by Tucker, but it wasn't Tucker's guy who blocked it.

Parson's was being doubled and tripled, which helped enable 2 sacks from Gary, one being untouched coming in.
Parsons had 2 QB hits, so it isn't like he disappeared. Offenses are going to focus and game plan on taking Parsons out of the game. It just comes with the territory of being a game wrecker.

Love is your guy, the Packers made him one of the highest paid QB's in the league.
If MLF took him out, that would do more damage internally than anything Willis could do.

Like Love or not....he is The Man.
Until that changes, you don't take him out for Malik Willis.
Worse thing MLF could do.

Well 😁, if Willis isn't the man, then yes, in the 'Packers mind', Love is The Man, and none of us are changing that.
Love is the man, because Gute was obsessed in drafting him and making him The Man.

I wasn't a fan of drafting Love at the time in 2020, i wanted team help in getting over the NFCCG's into the SB. Not trading up for a 3 year bench rider.
BUT.....he's here, he's the franchise, i'm a Packer fan, i gotta roll with it.

To be fair, in Gutes defense.....There is a lot worse than you could do in the NFL at QB, other than Jordan Love.

I thought there were better choices than McCarthy as HC. Fortunately he had Rodgers, Woodson and Mathews on the roster to help prop him up. I've gotten the same vibes with LaFleur. Probably a better OC than HC. Although after today's game - I'm now wondering about his offensive acumen.

LaFleur is shit at making in game adjustments, as if he arrogantly believes sticking to the game plan will work, even though everyone else can see it won't. Love is a Mazda, not a Maserati, draw up plays that fit his skill level, instead of thinking he can make any throw.

Sadly a very typical loss by the Packers over recent years. The OL loses the LOS to a solid front four/seven which prevents the Packers from moving the ball effectively. They allow 5 sacks in the game. Then they take far too many penalties. Another trend continuing from past seasons. They another ST failure on the blocked FG and worst of all Love makes a terrible throw and gets picked off giving the Browns great field position and ultimately the game tying TD.

for the most a great defensive effort was wasted by a poor offensive performance. Where is MLF the offensive genius? Another poorly coached and poorly played game following a mini bye. It just keeps happening over and over for several seasons now. Why?

The Packers snatched defeat from the jaws of victory yet again. No excuses for this loss or the level of offensive play against the Browns. Thanks, Since '61

BINGO 🎯💯 Belongs as an OC. I've said since his GB inception---he is not a leader of men.

And those who defend him with his W/L record, I will again say his early success was due to Rodgers-Adams combo in a VERY weak NFC North that padded the W stat.

As i've said (and many others have also) for decades, game are 'mostly' won or lost at the line of scrimmage.

I think the defenses front, on both teams largely played to a draw, good showing by both.

The offensive line, different story.

Not sure if it's the reason, but when i heard that they were moving Jenkins from guard to center, my gut reaction at the time was less than jubilant.
I always figured...Why fix what isn't broke?

Im glad I'm not the only one to notice. Since MLFs arrival we've seen these types of effort way too often. Theyll play great fir a few games then come out flat and undisciplined in others. Sadly a MLF m.o. and it's always the same response " we have to I coach better- we have to clean up the penalties etc.. im sorry, are these guys not paid a king's ransom to play football? MLF stated in his post game that pre snap penalties due to lack of concentration; " not being in the moment" I believe his quote was. Not being in the moment? Where the hell else is their minds? That's a troubling statement. Jordan has proven time and time again that he " ain't that dude". Not in critical moments, at least. Every game he does at least one thing that brings pause; at little eye brow raise, if you will. 40 million a year. Shit, I wish I could get 40 mill a year to completely break down mentally on my job..

He’s an under center QB.

OLD SCHOOL THE WAY YOU WIN GAMES

UNDER CENTER

HE DOESNT RUN LIKE DANILES OR JACKSON

HES UNDER CENTER GUY

THE LIONS WILL BE UNDER CENTER WHEN THEY PLAYNTHE BROWNS. PLAY ACTION ETC…. 90 percent I bet

Why because they would be 3rd and long…

THEY WILL Beat THE BROWNS BY 30 points

That was an unpleasant series of events to witness.

At halftime, it had the feeling it was going to be one of those games, but I didn't expect a loss.

Jordan picks the damnedest times to go full Jamies Winston.

I think the snap was bad on the blocked field goal, but the holder got it down.

Special teams. ::sigh:: What are they paying Rich to do?

It's a long season. That said, efforts like we witnessed today should not be allowed to repeatedly occur.

The packers have been the media darlings since the Parsons trade. This team is very young, and youth is always inconsistent. Talk about undefeated, superbowl, etc... Only McKinney was being a voice of reason with "2-0 ain't shit". So these young guys start reading the press clips.

This game might have more value in long run as a loss. It's a lesson to the youth that you still have to show up and play good football no matter how favored or the opposing team (except maybe the bears? :) ). This isn't NCAAF. If a team has to lose a game, this is the one to pick. Better to get this lesson early and against AFC team.

The clueless over-reactions are eye rolling. "Worst coached team...", etc... It's the youngest in the NFL, and you need a reality check if you think the job MLF is doing with this team is "Worst EVAR!!!"

In the end, too many mental mistakes on offense put them behind in down and distance against a very strong defense. The OL is in shambles due to injuries. Down 3 OL starters at one point.

Worst gut feeling i have is that Love makes 1-2 blunders per game. A lot of times he gets away with it, but not always. Kind of waiting for the light bulb to go on for him and correct that. Then it seems he learned to hang onto the ball from AR and take the sack.

stop blaming the fact they're the youngest team, if your going to blame that, then it would appear they don't want to win a superbowl because they continue to be the youngest team year after year.

Youngest team to ever win a superbowl was 26.4 yo. Packers have average age of 25.2 yo. Found another stat that says the packers starters average 24.8 yo.

I think we have good athletes, but where is the leadership?

We see what happens when you get a good coach, it turns things around. Hafley is a coach. MLF is a strategic tactician who thinks too highly of himself, and should hire a real OC and bench himself from game planning and play calling. Stenavich is clearly not THE GUY either. Example: You can't run play-action if you are in shotgun all the time, and play-action should be a staple with good backs and good receivers.

I was worried when they paid Love all that $$$ that they had panicked about losing him and overestimated his talent. Should have waited another year for a big contract. I really wonder if he's coach-able; I suspect that Tom Clements retired b/c Love just doesn't catch on, or isn't willing to change. He's not learning from his mistakes. He can be a good PASSER but only if he has a clean pocket. He's not a LEADER, he's not a well-rounded QB. By now he should know how long he can hold the ball. He should know when to throw it away. He should know not to throw into heavy traffic. He tries to be the hero on every play, trying to be the PASSER since that's his strong point, but often becomes the goat--and clearly not the GOAT.

Love needs to be coached HARD. He needs to have his nose rubbed in it until he gets it: Don't hold the ball. Don't force the pass. Don't go "Off-Schedule" until you have honed the skills to pull it off. Work on your play action sleight of hand. Listen to your coaches.

A lot of doom and gloom in Packerland.
I feel like i'm watching MSNBC or CNN.

Should the Packers just blow this thing up and start over?
Holy S...

We lost a game, against a good defense, we'll live.
The Packers beat Detroit and the Skins by scoring 27 points each.
This is a week to week league, everyone take a breath.

It's the 3rd game, it sucks, i get it, the undefeated season is gone.

Hard to argue with much of what you say, Since '75, and I don't recall seeing much if any undefeated season talk, but there's a lot of fans with little football knowledge and big ideas that think the Pack can do no wrong! Anyone expecting an undefeated season was dreaming.
But one thing I think you left out, or maybe forgot was "playing down to the level of the competition" has become as much of a Matt LaFleur trademark as it was in McCarthy's final few years. LaFleur doesn't own, understand, or know how to produce a "dagger'!
If the Packers lost today due to swollen heads, the 3rd game is a good time to do it and get it over with, but MLF's track record would suggest there's more of what you call doom & gloom to come, at the most surprising and inopportune times.
Fans have reason to be pissed, the Packers' threw one away today to an inferior team and looked bad doing it!

Well.....maybe teams that play down to their competition aren't...Championship Caliber teams, idk.

All i've been reading for years, and years is that the Packers are a Championship Caliber team from fans.

Since around 2014, right after the Seattle NFCCG, i stopped being so emotionally invested in this team (yelling at the tv...lol), i'll always be a diehard fan, but i stopped getting bent out of shape about it after that Seattle debacle.
Matter of fact i called for McCarthy to be fired after that game. for reasons it would take too long to explain.

Since that 2014 season NFCCG game, and how people have over rated this 'Championship Caliber' team, my attitude has been, 'show me, don't tell me'
Let me see it.
So i've been.....waiting.

The Pack came close in 2019, but then Gute decided to draft for the future in 2020 instead of getting over that NFCCG hump.
*********
With all that said. I think this defense gives us the best chance of getting into the SB, as long as the offense can carry their load.
I still feel that way, especially if they can get the run blocking up front working..

I've been a fan long before Favre, i'm not a spoiled fan who all they know is HOF QB's.
Welcome to the real world.

Games like this....used to happen on a weekly basis sometimes.
But most fans 45 and younger have no clue about that.

Shouldn't be undefeated, but shouldn't have lost THIS game. 9-0 to face the Iggles was reasonable. Ravens in week 17. Road games in Detroit and Minnesota can't be overlooked. Lose all 4 of those and 13-4 would be a good season. All we really know is it's not going to happen like that. Do we know if Zach Tom actually hurt his injury worse or if as the TV announcer suggested he just took himself out of the game because he knew he couldn't help the team? And what about Banks?

What a awful loss. This is on MLF like he said. Poor game plan and out coached again. Bounce MLF now and make Hafley HC before we lose him in the off season. MLF has to go. We are not going to the SB with him. Very disappointed in Love and his decision making. Why the hell didn't he let time run out at 2 minute warning instead of trying to run that awful play for a sack. Interception at worst time and holds onto the ball for no reason. Get rid of it!

It was a lousy showing by the Packers offense, and was exactly what I was afraid of.
Must be better, no doubt about it. The silver lining is it's a loss to an AFC team in week 3.
This isn't indicative of this team's talent or ability to compete- they just shit the bed.

With all that being said.. I'm always embarrassed to see so many supposedly 'football smart' Packers fans losing their minds over a single game like a bunch of knee-jerk Bears fans... fucking -bears fans.-

The concept of a trap game is truly offensive in my opinion.

The idea that in a league where you only play 17 games, and the stakes are so high.. and there's so much money involved.. that an entire organization could fail to take an opponent seriously is silly to me.

At the end of the day, players have to compete and the better team that day wins. Might be about talent, might be about matchups, or injuries, or schemes, or playcalling.. some days, it's just about which way the ball bounces.. but to believe any team in the NFL walks into a game so over-confident that they neglect to prepare themselves because they think they're just going to steamroll another NFL team without putting in the work, I just don't believe that happens.
