This thing about "identity" is a manufactured thing for spectators to make sense in their mind of what happens play to play, drive to drive, game to game and the season. Its just organizing a narrative in one's mind. Players and coaches work on plays, drives, games and the team for the season. THey don't sit around and think up a name-tag, identity. And identity generally is the least of reasons a "run heavy", "pound and grind" team might not insert a pass attack if that would be needed, and vice versa. So identity is not too important when games matter. Just a nice narrative for fans.

Being a community owned franchise is one of the most unique things in all of sports. There's certainly a sense of pride that comes from that.
But having an S.O.B. owner who won't continually tolerate coaching blunders, mediocrity and poor execution isn't always a bad thing, It means that there's a limit to how many apologies and excuses will be tolerated. It generates a sense of urgency. And a little dose of that would be refreshing right now. But will we get it from the collective leadership?

One Packers identity is they can defeat or be defeated by ANY team in the NFL...as someone here said a few days ago...a Forrest Gump "Box of Chocolates"...you never know what you are going to get.
Another is they are a finesse team...certainly not a physical team. While showing signs of being a more physical squad last year (potent run game, solid tackling/turnover defense).
Well, they have returned to the LaFleur era ...shut down the Packers' game plans early, they will fail to adjust, so punch them in the mouth, and they will let you hang around.
It looks like most of the Playoff seedings this year will not be decided until the last regular season game is played. Packers are heading into the Gauntlet of their schedule with 7 of the remaining 9 games likely playing as the underdog. And as we have seen, the other 2 games might be battles.

Our identity? 75% of the time, the offense rolls up at least 27 and we usually win. We have a good, not great, defense. 8th in scoring defense.
We've had some bad losses to Cleveland and Carolina. We've had some good wins against Detroit and @Pittsburgh.
If we win this Sunday against the Eagles, we're a top contender in the NFC. If we lose, we might still be in first place, we might still make the playoffs, but I don't think we're legit contenders and we are not getting there this year of the Love Window. Most of the key dogs are under contract for next year, so we can make another run.
Despite everything.....Watson not playing, Reed getting hurt, and an offensive line that doesn't get to practice and play together as a unit very often....despite all that, we've lost two games by a FG or we'd be 7-0-1 right now. This is a pretty good team, and when the offense isn't stopping themselves, it's been unbeatable.
Winning changes everything. Beat the Eagles, nobody's going to care about Carolina. Lose to the Eagles, and it really doesn't make much difference that we lost to Carolina, too.

"This is a pretty good team, and when the offense isn't stopping themselves, it's been unbeatable."
So why aren't they 7-0-1 if they are "good team"?
Does being a good team only reflect on the players? Or does that label also take Coaching into account? I believe they have a talented team with the players. Add in the coaches and they are not a "pretty good team". Competitive, sure. Most teams this year are.
They have mediocre coaches on O, good coaches on D, and perennially poor ST staff.

If you have to be 7-0-1 to be a good team, then there are no good teams in the league right now. How do these mediocre coaches have so many games where they score 27 or more points....all wins?
This is a good team, especially when the offense shows up (which it does 75% of the time) The defense isn't a dominant defense, but it does keep the score down .

Nope
Maybe for a year or two because they won a Super Bowl with a loaded go buy a team type of NBA deal
I would take MLF for the long haul over him

Home field advantage is huge at home for playoffs games …,
We need to get that back like Lambardi days

If lack of urgency or energy during certain games can be an identity - they have an identity.
If playing down to the level of lower competition can be an identity - there's that too.
Confounding? That can be an identity.

To me I don't see a defined identity to this team. I know Lefleur is a run first guy and wants to be a team that runs then passes.
Hafwit, imo, is just using Barry's defensive playbook. We're not blizing much because our pass d is suspect and needs linebacker help.
Otherwise who are these guys I have no idea
