GB is going to have to grind some because looks like Cleveland is a team you have to beat.

Maliek Collins is only 30. Drafted in 2016, like Kenny Clark. PFF has him with a 91 pass rush grade and a 61 run defense grade.

There's just regularly no place for him to step up to, and the Browns are doing a nice job of getting depth on their pass rush.

When the Packers have gotten the ball out quickly and on rhythm, they've moved the football

Time for MLF to come up with some half time adjustments to get the offense going. The OL is struggling something needs to change.

Fortunately the defense is playing excellently again. They need to stay strong in the 2nd half. GPG! Thanks, Since ‘61

After looking at videos of the Browns first two games I cam away with a higher estimation of them than their 0-2 record. They would've beaten Cincy but for their kicking game sucking. They are really a 1-1 team with a home field advantage.

This won't be easy for the Pack but it's the kind of game if they win it will be well and truly earned.

Love has been hit 5 times on 13 attempts (really 16 or so with a couple of scrambles). Same for Cleveland: Flacco has been hit 5 times on 16 attempts but he can't move enough to scramble. So, not much passing success. I think GB just has to slog it out and accept 3.5 yards and a cloud of dust until they get more of a lead and have some options.

We may need to stop with the chip blocks and get our TEs and backs out quicker into their routes when passing, IMO. Risky, I know, but we have to keep their LBs honest.

We were running the ball ok too. So I am fully supportive of long, clock churning drives if we can do it.

To mimic what the announcer said, i just do not understand why it is so difficult make the decision to throw the ball away there. At some point as a nfl qb, the internal clock passes a point and you have to throw it away.

The Packers have a better than good chance of being 3-0 to start the season.
First time since 2015.

Regardless of the Browns 1st and goal at the 1 happening right now.

Mistakes by Kraft (he missed the block on the field goal), and mistakes by Love and almost by Jacobs.

In edit: NFL stats indicate that Shelby Harris blocked the field goal, not Greg Newsome. ESPN play by play concurs. So, not Kraft's fault. Looked like Jordan Morgan was blocking Harris. I think Harris got some penetration. It may be the the kick was a little low and it might have been pulled to the left, as well.

every time i see him play like this (taking a sack instead of throwing it out of bounds, over throwing jacobs several times in a row, throwing the int...) i'm reminded of the words he said after one of his first games as a starter 2 years ago, he said after answering reporters about his interceptions that he is not going to change the way he plays and throws he makes just because someone intercepted one of his passes. And he hasn't! he'll never be an elite qb, at best he may be a hair above average.

That is just not true. Love did not commit 14 penalties nor did he decide not to block on a field goal attempt nor was his game plan to run show up and win. MLF might be a good/great offensive coach but he has yet to show that he can manage a game or coach an NFL team. Maybe he felt bad for Fickel and wanted to show that he wasn't the only coach in Wisconsin who loses their identity, or has none.

What a collapse. The offense looks like a struggle most weeks. MLF passing on 3rd and 3 was crominal. So dumb. Just my opinion but packers seem to win despite MLF. He is bad at clock management and as OC calling plays is also poor which leaves less time for looking in on special teams which is also a disaster. I wish hed hire a true OC to call plays and CEO which should improve his in game management.

This loss is squarely on COACHING. Think back to 3rd and 1 to end the 3Q. What was that!? Why not eat clock and run the play in the 4Q. We were in disarray. How many penalties did we commit. Rasheed Walker penalty cost us 5 yards and STOPPED the clock. Uh, that’s just a start. Totally ridiculous LOSS. Very frustrating.

Defense played well. Offense and special teams sucked. So did coaching. Love's interception with a pass to the middle with time running out was the worst. The blocked game winning chip shot was equally as bad. Moreover how many penalties? Playoffs? Playoffs? Thanks for ruining my weekend.

Jordan Love managed “most” of the game well. He took too many sacks but the Oline sucked today.

BUT then I watched the interception about 10 times. What the hell did he see? That was terrible. Also why not just run the ball there. I feel like I rewatched the Packers/Seahawks Championship game again. So many plays that said WIN turned to LOSS with awful decisions.

Yea Packfan...Credit the Browns defense, they took away the deep ball, and the mostly wide open receivers we saw from the Packers in weeks 1 and 2.

Love had 2 wtf moments, of course the pick, and also not throwing the ball away and taking a 13 yard sack loss., he was way outside of the pocket, all he had to do was throw it past the line of scrimmage.

He seems to have a penchant for looking very good, but then doing a couple of bone head, unexplainable costly screw ups. Plenty of blame to go around, starting with giving Aaron Banks $77 million on personnel decisions, and you can find plenty of players who screwed up today.

An embarrassing display. Total choke job. Missed block on the field goal try. So many penalties. Love's throw from the 5 to 2 Brown's players with no Packer in sight. That was a total choke by Love. Offensive line surprisingly bad. It's remarkable just how bad they were in the last 8 minutes.

Sadly a very typical for the loss by the Packers over recent years. The OL loses the LOS to a solid front four/seven which prevents the Packers from moving the ball effectively. They allow 5 sacks in the game. Then they take far too many penalties. Another trend continuing from past seasons. They another ST failure on the blocked FG and worst of all Love makes a terrible throw and gets picked off giving the Browns great field position and ultimately the game tying TD.

for the most a great defensive effort was wasted by a poor offensive performance. Where is MLF the offensive genius? Another poorly coached and poorly played game following a mini bye. It just keeps happening over and over for several seasons now. Why?

The Packers snatched defeat from the jaws of victory yet again. No excuses for this loss or the level of offensive play against the Browns. Thanks, Since '61

Love is NOT an elite qb. His body language shows little intensity or being in charge of the team, of the moment. The decisions he sometimes makes are flabbergasting. Cleveland played with intensity, the Packers did not. They've all got to stop reading the press clippings that make them out to be a team that they are not. On any given Sunday, any NFL team can beat another NFL team. Cleveland put the pedal to the metal, the Packers did not, resulting in a resounding loss. Unless Love makes a leap and plays like the pundits seem to think he can, and the offensive line plays with A LOT more intensity, it will be a long season for all of us.

Love plays, as do others, desperately afraid of making a mistake and having MLF blame them for his poor coaching! I cannot see us winning a Super Bowl with MLF at the helm; however, I can see Jordan Love winning one. That play call was abysmal. MLF got outcoached once again (not stressing the importance of hanging on to the ball and not having any penalties after the 2-minute warning is a complete lack of coaching. These are young men who need a good leader, not one whose ego prevents them from admitting to making mistakes.

Z Tom , was not capable of playing ( what ever happened to a strength test )
Starting a left tackle/guard to replace the right tackle instead of the backup who had been playing there well ?????
Special teams cave in again in so many ways holding, holding, fair catching, low snapping, low kicking
J Love ... collapsing ... started missing throws in 4th quarter look lost, kept his poker face on but was melting underneath ( how about that Pick )
very hard to explain. My thought total loss of confidence. Did make a good throw to golden after that but couldn't capitalize,
Love does not appear to be a ( just give me the ball ) type of player in pressure moments more of a ( I hope I don't blow this ) type of of personality.. IMHO of course

So, looking at a replay, it looks like DT Shelby Harris blocked the field goal, not Greg Newsome. Confirmed by ESPN play by play and by NFLgsis. Harris looked like he was being blocked by Jordan Morgan, so not Kraft's fault. Harris got some penetration. Not sure but maybe the kick was a little low and it might have been pulled, as well.

Didn't see the post-game presser but I got 4 dollars that say MLF blamed everyone but himself for that loss. I hope I lose the bet, however, I have yet to hear him take responsibility for his abysmal preparation and coaching. The fact we still have the same Special Teams coach is proof that he cannot fix the chronic problems that will continue to hamstring the Packers, year over year.

I do think Le Fleur blames himself; one of his most oft-quoted lines is "I've got to better." Damn right you do! But he can't be. He doesn't come across as particularly intelligent, and he's more of a cheerleader than a coach. Ever hear one of his postgame locker room speeches?... High School stuff. This loss could be a blessing in that Policy is watching closely to see if, in his mind, Le Fluke is the one to take this team to the SB. One or two more poorly coached games like this, and I wouldn't be surprised if he fires him mid-season. This team has too much talent to be led by an incompetent.

All fair points taken. Thank you, great insight. Totally agree on the Cheerleader part. One of my neighbors (here in Boise ID) grew up in Wisconsin back in the Lombardi days (I grew up back in the Coach Starr days:) has always told me just that, he is not a Head Coach, a good OC but not a good HC exactly because of that: Cheerleading NOT Leading. I do hope you're right about Policy. MLF needs to be coached too.

He’s not a good OC, either. Just watch this offense. How many times does he actually get the ball to Golden, Doubs, or Wicks? After all the hype about finally drafting a legit No. 1, he barely throws to him. His predictable playcalling has cost us playoff games and matchups against quality teams.

You can blame the offensive line, but this isn’t a patchwork group—it’s comprised of first-rounders, high draft picks, and players paid big money in the offseason. Half the time, it doesn’t even look like they know the play. On top of that, the endless penalties and the continued failures on special teams fall back on him, too.

If there’s any silver lining to this embarrassing defeat, it’s that the spotlight is finally on LaFleur. Now we’ll see if he rises to the moment—or shrinks from it. I don’t believe he’ll be coaching this team next year..
