Terrell Owens Could Remain on Free Agent Market For Awhile
By admin
Free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens could remain on the market for awhile longer, Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports.
Owens turns 37 in December, but as evidenced by his 55 receptions, 829 yards and 5 touchdowns, including a 98-yard score against the Jacksonville Jaguars, last season for the Buffalo Bills, the six-time Pro Bowler can still produce at a high level.
Speaking of Jacksonville, Owens could be an option for the Jaguars, who currently have Mike Sims-Walker and second-year receiver Mike Thomas penciled in as the starters, with Troy Williamson and special teams ace Kassim Osgood as their only veteran depth at the position.
Florio notes that Owens was seeking $5 million dollars in March, which would pull him even with what 32-year old Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and Dancing With the Stars contestant Chad Ochocinco is slated to make in 2010.
