Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill made an appearance in Issaquah Municipal Court on Wednesday, Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times reports.
Hill is facing a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault, and O'Neil reports that this hearing was to determine the admissibility of evidence. Hill will appear in court again on Friday, and his trial may begin next week.
A potential delay in the trial emerged, as Prosecutor Lynn Moberly advised the court that the victim in the case, Hill's former girlfriend, has not responded to Moberly or police attempts to contact her.
The Seahawks are scheduled to report to training camp on July 30.
Hill was suspended for one game, and docked an additional game check, last week by the National Football League for his guilty plea in April to misdemeanor drug possession charges in Douglas County, Georgia. Depending on his domestic assault case goes, Hill may face additional league discipline.
