Rams Confident That Bradford Will Sign Before Camp
By admin
St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney is confident that a deal will get done with first overall pick Sam Bradford, reports Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com.
The Rams' rookies report to training camp on Wednesday, with the veterans arriving on Friday. Devaney tells FOXSports.com that there "is a really good chance" that Bradford will be signed before then.
Bradford is expected to command between $45 and $50 million dollars in guaranteed money on a six-year contract to help lead a franchise that has won just six games over the last three seasons.
"He looks like he’s unflappable," Devaney said of Bradford. "He doesn’t get too high or low. He’s a smart guy. Being a great player means something to him. What really jumped out is that he’s got a tremendous respect for the NFL and his peers. He doesn’t put himself like the first pick in the draft."
