Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Kellen Winslow underwent a sixth procedure on his right knee, and Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times reports the 26-year old acknowledged that pain is something he deals with on an every day basis.
"It (right knee) feels good. It's just something I deal with every day," Winslow said on Monday. "I'm not going to let these guys down, though...It's an every day thing. It really is. It's not easy, by any means necessary. But I've been through worse and I'll be back and I'll do my job and my thing."
Winslow, who has not participated in any of the off-season workouts, declined to discuss the specifics of the latest procedure, adding that he'll be ready for training camp.
"I've been training back in San Diego real hard and this is all I think about, man, is getting out here with these guys and the coaches," Winslow said. "I just want to be right when I do come back. It's just important for me to rehab strong in the off-season.
"This is something I've done in the past. I don't really do OTAs. I go back in San Diego and I train real hard with my trainer Todd Durkin. It's nothing new."
In his first season with in Tampa, Winslow led the Buccaneers in receiving with 77 receptions, 884 yards, and 5 touchdowns.
