Jets LB Calvin Pace to Miss Six Weeks
By admin
New York Jets outside linebacker Calvin Pace will miss six weeks with a broken right foot, reports Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Pace had a team-high 5 tackles and a sack/forced fumble before injuring his foot in Friday night's pre-season loss to the Washington Redskins.
The six-week recovery time-frame means Pace will certainly miss the Jets' September slate of games against the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins, and will likely miss the October 3 game against the Buffalo Bills. The Jets host Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings six weeks from tomorrow night.
Pace (6-4, 270) led the Jets in quarterback sacks (8) last season, and is expected to be replaced in the starting lineup by six-time Pro Bowler Jason Taylor.
