Jets CB Darrelle Revis Officially a Holdout

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis will not report to training camp by tonight's 5:30pm ET deadline, and is officially a training camp holdout.

"We waited until the last possible moment in hopes of getting something done," Revis' agent, Jon Feinsod, told Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger. "Darrelle won't be in camp."

Revis, who will reportedly make close to $1 million this season, faces daily fines up $15,888, and Vrentas notes he jeopardizes the $20 million in his contract that would become due if the final two years of his rookie contract are voided and bought back by the club.

Furthermore, if Revis fails to report by August 10, he risks losing an accrued season towards unrestricted free agency.

When Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News asked Neil Schwartz, who also represents Revis, how long the All-Pro cornerback would holdout, Schwartz replied "Ask the Jets".
