Giants WR Hakeem Nicks Out With Leg Injury

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is expected to miss at least three weeks with compartment syndrome in his right leg, the team announced on Monday.
Compartment syndrome is a serious condition that involves increased pressure in a muscle compartment. It can lead to muscle and nerve damage and problems with blood flow.
Nicks was injured during the Giants' 27-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.
A first-round pick in 2009, Nicks leads the Giants with 62 receptions for 800 yards and 9 touchdowns. With Steve Smith out for another week or two with a partially-torn pectoral muscle, the Giants are down to Mario Manningham and Derek Hagan as their starting wide receivers.
The Giants host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
