Eagles to Look at Owen Schmitt

After losing Pro Bowl fullback Leonard Weaver for the season to a torn ACL, the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to bring in free agent fullbacks Jason Davis and Owen Schmitt for workouts, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports.

Schmitt played behind Weaver during his rookie season with the Seattle Seahawks, and should be familiar with the basics of the Eagles' offense, as Andy Reid is a branch of the Mike Holmgren coaching tree.

The former fifth-round pick out of West Virginia has a workout scheduled with the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday.
