Eagles Sign 1st Round DE Brandon Graham

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Philadelphia Eagles have signed first-round defensive end Brandon Graham to a five-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the team has confirmed the signing and waived wide receiver Blue Cooper to make room for Graham on the 80-man roster.

In 46 career games at Michigan, the 6-2, 268-pound Graham totaled 138 tackles, including 56 for a loss and 29.5 quarterback sacks. Graham forced eight and recovered three fumbles, had three pass break-ups, and blocked a pair of kicks, returning one for a touchdown.

A two-time All-Big Ten selection, including first-team after the 2009 season, Graham also earned second-team All-American honors in 2009.

Philadelphia traded all the way up to the 13th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft to select the pass-rushing prospect, and envision Graham teaming with Pro Bowl right defensive end Trent Cole to form one of the most formidable pass-rushing tandems in the NFL.

Graham is the last of the Eagles' 13 picks in the 2010 NFL Draft to come to terms, and should hit the practice field for the first time on Friday.
