Dolphins Waive TE John Nalbone

The Miami Dolphins have placed tight end John Nalbone on waivers, Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports.

A fifth-round pick (161st overall) out of Monmouth in 2009, Nalbone split his rookie season on the Dolphins' 53-man roster and practice squad. Nalbone caught two passes for 42 yards during the 2010 pre-season, and has been active for both of the Dolphins' games this regular season.

With Nalbone being waived, Anthony Fasano is the lone tight end on Miami's active roster. Undrafted rookie tight ends Jeron Mastrud and Dedrick Epps are on the team's practice squad, and may be elevated to replace Nalbone.
