Free agnet cornerback Deshea Townsend has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Terms were not disclosed.

Townsend, 34, has spent his entire 12-year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who drafted Townsend in the fourth-round (117th overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft out of Alabama.

In 183 career games, Townsend (5-10, 190) has 21 interceptions, three he's returned for touchdowns, and 15.5 quarterback sacks. Townsend has been a reserve cornerback for the Steelers over the last two seasons, and will compete with Jacob Lacey and Ray Fisher for the team's nickel cornerback role.
