Indianapolis Colts restricted free agent safety Melvin Bullitt has signed his one-year tender, Scout.com's Adam Caplan reports.
An undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M in 2007, Bullitt was tendered at the "Second Round" level, and will $1.684 million dollars in 2010, a hefty increase over his $460,000 base salary from 2009. In three seasons with the Colts, Bullitt has appeared in 44 games, starting 21 games over the last two seasons. The 6-1, 205-pound safety has 169 tackles and 5 interceptions during his career.
Bullitt is the first of the Colts' five restricted free agents to sign his tender. Still unsigned are fellow safety Antoine Bethea, defensive tackles Antonio Johnson and Daniel Muir, and offensive tackle Charlie Johnson.
