Colts Rookie CB Jordan Hemby Tears ACL

The Indianapolis Colts announced that undrafted rookie cornerback Jordan Hemby will miss the 2010 season after tearing an ACL during Thursday night's pre-season loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Most of Hemby's playing time at the University of North Carolina came on special teams or as a nickel/dime cornerback. Injuries, including a torn left ACL, limited Hemby to just one season (2008) as a starter, during which he posted 49 tackles with three passes defensed and three forced fumbles.

Prior to his injury, Hemby (5-11, 190) had a pair of tackles this pre-season. Hemby was injured covering a punt in the first quarter.
