Colts Lose S Jamie Silva to Torn ACL

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Indianapolis Colts have lost safety Jamie Silva for the season to a torn ACL in his right knee.

Silva was injured early in the 3rd quarter of the Colts' 37-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Signed as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College in 2008, Silva was slated to back-up Pro Bowler Antoine Bethea at free safety. In 25 games, Silva has 47 tackles, a pair of passes defensed, and a fumble recovery. 24 of Silva's tackles and his fumble recovery have come as a core member of the Colts' special teams units.
