Broncos Shuffle Roster, Practice Squad

As they emerge from the bye week, the Denver Broncos have shuffled their roster and practice squad.

Defensive lineman LeKevin Smith has been released from the 53-man roster, with veteran tight end Daniel Coats taking his place.

Coats (6-3, 260) caught 30 passes for 291 yards in 53 games with the Cincinnati Bengals, who had signed him as an undrafted free agent out of BYU in 2007. The Bengals placed Coats on waivers on October 26 when they signed J.P. Foschi.

Smith had re-joined the Broncos for their October 31 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in London.

The Broncos also re-signed rookie defensive lineman Jeff Stehle to the practice squad, releasing rookie tight end Riar Geer.
