Bills QB Position is Wide Open

Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey will have a pecking order at quarterback when training camp opens, but insists that the competition will be open.

"We have three guys. They got pretty much equal reps during (organized team activities) and mini-camps. We'll go to camp. We'll have a pecking order but nothing's in concrete. Everybody's still gonna have a chance to win the job", Gailey said as the Bills' concluded their off-season practice schedule on Friday.

"Well, it's still open," Gailey said of his decision to not name a #1 until the player report to camp. "Don't read too much into who takes the first snap and who takes the second snap and who takes the third snap [in training camp]. Don't read too much into that. It's close."

Trent Edwards is the favorite to be at the top of the pecking order when camp opens, with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brian Brohm behind him.

Seventh-round pick Levi Brown is expected to be the fourth quarterback during training camp.
