I remember Mc doing an interview and stating 'were a running team'. I recall thinking in the era of passing attacks and great qb's the run should complement a good passing game not the reverse. Still think that.
Maybe it's coaching philosophies. An effective run game keeps your d off the field. Ya if it works. One long pass can makes up for multiple 4 yard runs imo . Lefleur is a run guy.
