Will Anderson will not be available and that' a good thing. I watched all the Bama games and he was good but not a great player. Ya he made plays but he also wore down in games and when he lost other pass rushers his game went down too.

Some mocks have Miles Murphy as the first round pick for the Packers. He finally ran a forty a few days ago and ran an eye popping 4. 51 at his pro day. I would grab him in the first if available. Other possibilities would be Van Ness from Iowa. We need linemen who can both stop the run and rush the pass from either the middle or from the edge. Other intriguing possibles might be A . Adebawaware and Calijah Kancey the former could fit in the middle or the outside as he has 4.49 speed. Hell, he could play strong safety at 282lbs! Why not? Granted they are freaks . They said that about Jiannis Antetonkuopko (excuse spelling) But, look at the film. They are all players.We are close to having a dominating front four. That should be objective number one. I would use two top picks on DL. the third (hopefully from the Jets) on a TE.. The best way to help Love develop is to keep him off the bench watching the other team run the ball down our throats for 3/4 of each quarter.

Here is a thought and it may not be possible. Don't take what the Jets are offering let the Draft pass. I read that the Packers don't need to make a final decision on Rogers until September 1st. Fine let him retire or keep him on the roster if he wants that leaves the Jets going into the season without Rogers who may be on the Packer roster now who is more desperate to make a trade. Then let the Jets know the Packers don't want any 2024 picks they want an all player trade, 3 players sounds about right and not scrubs. Maybe they get the guy the Jets drafted at 13 and more.

The problem with that, Canpack, is "all player" trades generally take cap space to make them work, as both teams would be on the hook for that player's dead cap $$$ charge remaining on their contracts.
Players like Runyan for the Packers are in the last year of his deal, and the Packers no longer have dead cap tied to potential a trade. If we want to trade him, now would be the perfect time to do so because of this.
The Jets are stretched to their limits right about now to get high cap # players like AR, Bakhtiari to fit inside their cap along with Quinnen Williams, who they are holding off on re-signing.
There's a little wiggle room for them to do all of that, maybe add some low cap # players the Packers could elect to include. They could then restructure AR and DB for whatever terms they like to clear more cap for Williams...
NYJ is essentially putting themselves in the cap situation we now find ourselves in - figuring they'll give it a go while they have a Top 5 Defense... But, they'll be over extended and tight.
All those contract restructures we saw on the Packers side was done to clear cap space in order to be able to absorb those dead cap hits (AR, potentially DB and others) that come with trading players out of your roster.
