Our Packers Content and Coverage Plans for 2018 Season - CheeseheadTV

2018 promises to be an exciting year for CheeseheadTV, as we kick it off with the return of co-founder Aaron Nagler to the fold.

If you are reading this, let me first start out by thanking you for coming here to read, listen and watch our coverage of the Green Bay Packers.

2018 promises to be an exciting year for CheeseheadTV, as we kick it off with the return of co-founder Aaron Nagler to the fold. Having witnessed the Packers operations working the Packers beat for PackersNews.com, Aaron brings you an insider's perspective few other bloggers can.

Nagler's return also means that Packer Transplants will once again be gracing the airwaves here at CheeseheadTV. Aaron and the other CheeseheadTV Co-founder, Corey Behnke, will once again be bringing you their unique takes on everything Green Bay Packers.

So buckle your seatbelts, everyone, as we chronicle the Packers' 2018 quest for the Super Bowl.

Here's a look at what we have planned for 2018:

AUDIO/VISUAL:

  • Packer Transplants returns to the live airwaves every Wednesday at 5 PM EST.  If you can't watch live, you can watch it later On Demand on the CheeseheadTV mobile app, cheeseheadtv.com, the CheeseheadTV Facebook page or the CheeseheadTV YouTube channel (SUBSCRIBE HERE).
  • Railbird Central also returns!. Brian Carriveau will be doing a special Railbird show every Tuesday evening at 9 PM EST LIVE from Bierock, his new Craft Beer establishment in Madison Wisconsin. Brian will be broadcasting in front of a live audience. Also available On Demand.
  • CheeseheadTV Live, our newly launched live podcast where you can listen and also chat with the hosts, will be broadcasting live on Wednesday evenings at 9:30 PM EST. (After DST kicks in, it will run at 8:30 EST)  Also available On Demand.
  • Pack-A-Day Podcast, founded by our own Andy Herman, is posted on the site at 10:00 AM EST every day. It's a quick-hitting, 20-minute podcast with a rotating roster of Packers bloggers as hosts. It's also available on iTunes or however, you listen to podcasts.
  • Packers Daily:  Aaron continues with his wildly popular Facebook Live chat, sometime during the day on Mondays through Fridays on the CheeseheadTV Facebook Page. Make sure you LIKE the page and that you have notifications on. Also available On Demand on our Youtube channel.

WRITING:

If you're more a fan of the articles here, no worries, little will be changing, except for MORE content coming your way.

GAMEDAY:

Chris Peterson will start the day off with his "Why the Packers will win - and why they won't."

Our Gameday live chat will kick off 30 minutes before game time. You can join us there to chat about the game as we watch it.

POST-GAME Look for Aaron's legendary "Gut Reactions" post as well as his "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." Our newest contributor Sarah Kelliher will be handling the full game recap posts. Zach Jacobson will chime in with a detailed game analysis/commentary piece.

Mondays: Jason Perone gives out Game Balls and Lame Calls, Ross Uglem goes to the videotape with "After Further Review" and David Michalski & Tim Backes weigh in with more on the game.

Tuesdays: Cory Jennerjohn starts out the day with his multi-year recurring column "Cory's Corner" where if you're a bear, he may just try to poke you a bit. Matt Kelly follows that with our long-running "Packers Stock Report" and Zach Jaconson and Ryan Brunner will follow up with their own commentary or analysis pieces.

Wednesdays: Jersey Al (me) empties the Packers portion of his brain with his new column. "Polluted Mindset." Ryan Brunner follows that up with his "Around the NFC North" report and for you night owls,  Elish Twerski weighs in with his Fantasy Football picks & rankings.

Thursdays: This is wild card day, where Zach Jacobson, Chris Peterson and Tim Backes pontificate on whatever tickles their fancy (Packers-related, of course).

Fridays: Andy Herman closes the book on the previous week's game with his "Grading the Pack" Andy spends days grading every snap of every player. Who else does that for you? Jason Perone kicks off the focus on the upcoming game with "Packers Periscope" and Matt Kelley will have you stats geeks covered with his "Opponent by the Numbers" piece.

Saturdays: Cory's corner starts off the day, followed by David Michalski's look at the key battles in the upcoming game.

Sundays: See GAMEDAY above.

In case that isn't enough, note that these are just the scheduled items - our writers will often pop in with additional posts on topics of the day and breaking news.

So thanks again for frequenting our site - hope you enjoy it all!

Thanks, Al for the hard work everyone puts into the site. The last couple of years this site has been a must view for all things Packer. Also, appreciated the Draft Guide. Good to have a place to celebrate or commiserate with people who are as passionate about the Pack.

That's hallowed ground around here. We all missed Surviving Sundays, and more importantly, Adam Czech.

Damn, that’s great news. I knew your staff had different takes and wrote on different days and today you broke it all down nicely. I like that I don’t have to deal with baloney on my cheese. And everyone here has a slightly different take on things so I don’t get the robo-opinion that I hear from others. Again thanks!

Nagler was a huge signing. A generational talent like him doesn’t come around too often. Puts CHTV in the discussion for best fan site of the year. Now other blogs must gameplan around him.

Glad to see Railbird Central is coming back. I thought he flew the coop. Looking forward to how it sounds braodcasting from a bar.

There was already a Railbird broadcast from his bar posted here from last week; it sounded just fine. Occasional audience noise was nice, actually

Fan (emphasis on FAN) -tastic! I love this site. Long before Jersey Al and CHTV merged they were both my "go to sites" for 'real' Packer information. The only reason I went to the Packers-News.com site was Aaron and (despite him dissing me one day in, lol) I'm so glad that, sadly minus Adam :( , the "Band is back together". This site just keeps getting better and better. Kudos to all the great writers (and frankly, great commenters) who keep this Green and Gold site a daily must read!

Al, the line up is remarkable.

With so much scheduled, recurring content, will the "By category" search/sort be utilized more religiously by the authors/editors? It seems up to now the majority of articles have been placed under "featured".

As I've said in the past, I enjoy the podcasts the most because I can listen in the background while doing other things.

Imagine making sweet love with your significant other and a CHTV commentator yelling "score" at just the right moment.
