This game will be closer than the Lions game, Daniels is a much bigger threat than Goff.
But the Commanders are penalty prone, and the packers have enough linebacker/safety speed to track down
Daniels, Deebo and hopefully McLaurin.
The Packers and their new shinny star on defense should be loaded with confidence (Adv Green Bay)

I'm not bullish on Washington. I don't think they're as good as many others think they are, although I think Dan Quinn is underrated as a coach. They're a classic momentum team and they beat up on a weak schedule to ride the wave last season into the playoffs and a win over an injury-depleted Lions team. I really don't think they're a SB contender.

That said, WAS handled but didn't whoop up on a bad NYG team in week 1. The offense completely keys on Daniels. This is the type of team that has given the Packers fits in the past--they played pretty well against mobile QBs last year, but have had issues prior to that. I don't think the Packers dominate like they did last week, but if they play with similar energy and physicality--and limit their TOs; you can't give away possessions to a momentum team--they should win (keep in mind, I predicted a loss last week)...27-17.

Let's see if the offense can avoid getting stuck in the mud for a quarter or more. If the Killer G's defense shows out like it did last week we should be able to move to 2-0. Go Pack!

After listening to Hafley's press conference, I noticed he said he responded to the game as it was unfolding-he has a framework but seems very good at responding in the moment to what the other team is giving him.

MLF is not as strategically agile-I don't think Hafley would have allowed an entire quarter to elapse w/o a creative adjustment.

Pack needs to maintain gap discipline when rushing Daniels and keep him corralled for either the sack or very short scrambles. Holding my breath on Banks/Tom.....a little worrisome with a good Dline like WAS has. But big picture; keep Daniels minimized we win. Pack wins a tight one 27-24 on a McManus FG from 44 yards in last minute.

Prediction? The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. That's why I think this game, and every game, is about scoring points. I think you aim for 30 every game and hope the defense is good enough to hold the opponent to less than 30 (which ours is)

Washington can move the ball and score points, but if we score 30 we should get a win here.

People get caught up in the minutiae. Scoring points wins games.

Remarkably, the Pack has transitioned from being an offensive powerhouse during the Favre and Rodgers years to what many now consider a defense-first team with a developing offense. The All-Pros are all on the defense: Micah, Cooper, Gary, McKinney, and so is the confidence.

The offense, run by Le Fleur, remains a question mark. It can go from precision to complete ineptitude in consecutive quarters. How can a top team's QB have 22 yards in an entire half? Love throws an almost interception and an actual interception on two straight plays, saved by a penalty. Two consecutive horrible plays. It was game one of a long season, and it was a glorious victory, but coming down from the high, we have to face questions about Love and his propensity for turnovers, and Le Fleur and his lack of in-game adjustments.

I have confidence because I believe there is immense talent on the offense; the O-line is terrific, Jacobs is a top-five RB, three, maybe four outstanding receivers, and a TE with All-Pro potential, so it comes down to Love and Le Fleur. Tonight, I hope to see the Packer offense put 30 or more points on the board and show us that the defense won't have to carry the entire load this season.

Last year, the offense and defense were ranked about equally. The defense may have nudged ahead with the addition of Micah Parsons, but we will see. The offense was plenty good against the Lions.

I'm not saying the offense is bad; I'm just hoping it will be better than good. Philadelphia, Baltimore, Buffalo... they have powerful offenses. I want the same.

WEEK TWO BET: 3X the announcers tell us LVN made his first start since high school last week.

Little know fact: Iowa has a tradition of playing 5th year seniors no mater what. There were two 5th year seniors ahead of LVN at Iowa. He was the actual starter just did not start the games due to the tradition followed by the coaching staff. This is a practice I actually like. Too much free agency in the NCAA.
